Deb Ball

2000 Deb Ball with President Charlie Montebello and District Governor Des Jones

Altona City Rotary Club held 20 Deb Balls between 1990 and 2010, training nearly 400 Debutantes and their partners in the  fine arts of classical dancing. Almost 10,000 Ball attendees raised over $93,000 for local Rotary charity projects.

Christa Landells (Deb trainer), supported by Chairman Frank Landells, Charlie Montebello, and other Rotarians, fully deserved the plaudits they earned from many grateful parents, friends and families.

Thanks to their work, Altona City earned a reputation as "The Deb Ball Club," and Rotary gained lots of favourable exposure in the local community.

Many of the Debutantes and their partners also expressed appreciation for the opportunity to further develop social skills lasting a lifetime.
